Education for Prevention Coordinator (32 hours per week)

AIDS Community Care Montreal is hiring an Education for Prevention Coordinator! Our E4P team works with schools, community groups, and teachers to provide access to sexual health information. As the E4P Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee and deliver prevention programming, including Teacher’s SexEd Toolkit, sexual health workshops and kiosks, condom and lube distribution, LGBTQ+ outreach, training for educators.
  • Build relationships with local and national partners through conferences and outreach to strengthen Montreal’s sexual health network.
  • Engage educators, guidance counsellors, and university training programs to strengthen gender-inclusive and non-judgemental delivery of sexual education in Quebec schools.
  • Train and supervise our amazing team of volunteers who engage with students and community members.
  • Our ideal E4P Coordinator:

    • Is highly knowledgeable about HIV, sexual health, trans health, consent, drug use, risk reduction, hepatitis C and other STBBIs, and sexual health education and policy in Quebec.
    • Has worked with youth in a variety of contexts. You have both worked with youth directly and have created projects and programs geared toward youth wellbeing.
    • Is a strong project manager. You have a demonstrated history of seeing projects from idea to proposal to execution to evaluation. You are a meticulous data collector and can make user stats speak volumes.
    • Has worked with teachers, guidance counsellors, school boards, and universities to effect systemic change. You have a mind for policy development, educational curriculum, and the workings of school boards.
    • Has a first hand knowledge of community based sexual health resources. You know where to find information fast, and you have an extensive knowledge of our community partners.
    • Is fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken. You’re a concise writer with samples to show us.
    • Is an engaging facilitator. You have proven experience training others: you’re captivating, informative, factual, prepared, and adaptive to your audience. You have developed lesson plans, workshops, and kiosk materials in a variety of settings.
    • Is fun! You’re a dynamic, no-drama, team player. We are excited to work with you.
