Rights and remedies: Introduction

Author : Arrondissement.com

Objective: Know your rights and enforce them

By accepting a job, you accept new responsibilities. But your status as a worker does not only give you responsibilities: it also gives you rights. That of being paid for your work, of course, but also other rights, defined by laws and regulations as well as by your employment contract.

Do you know your rights? Do you know the steps to follow to enforce them? Do you know who to contact if you need help?

The ideal is to be informed from the start, at the time of hiring, as we saw in the previous capsule. But it's never too late to do it! This capsule will allow you to review some basic concepts and find resources that can help you when needed. It also answers some of the most common questions Quebec workers have about rights.
