The mission of La Maisonnette des parents is to promote the autonomy and development of families and individuals, and to support parents and families in particular difficulty. Our goals are to prevent or alleviate distress and solitude of families; give the parent back his first role educator of his child; to build trust, mutual assistance, solidarity and care for families; encourage participation of immigrant families.We have three sectors of activity: family support, food security and community action.


Early childhood

  • Parent-child activities: Moments of love 12-24 months, Parents-children play 2-3 years; Small steps to school 3 years- 3 years ½ and 4-5 years
  • Halt respite

Activities for children

  • Physical activities: soccer, skating, gardening, dancing
  • Artistic activities: theater, violin, piano, guitar, comic
  • Cooking lessons
  • English lesson
  • Summer day camp

Activities for adults

  • Physical Activities: yoga, meditation, pilates, pre-natal pilates, post-natal pilates, gardening, skating
  • Artistic activities: knitting, guitar, piano
  • Language courses: French, English, Spanish, Italian
  • Collective Kitchens

Activities for parents-children

  • Physical activities: skating, baladi
  • Artistic activity: family choir

Community Services

  • Food aid
  • Community life: Halloween party, Christmas party, Mother's Day and organization of the Petite-Patrie neighborhood party

Registration periods:

  • Fall session: September
  • Winter session: January
  • Summer session: April

To participate in our services and activities, you must become a member. The annual cost of the membership card is $ 5 and is valid from September to August.
