Our mission : Through the impacts of mentorship, create positive change in communities so that each youth reaches their full potential.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal is an organization dedicated to the development of children and youth who are experiencing personal and socio-economic difficulties, as well as their families. Our organization offers professional mentoring services, opportunities to develop personal strengths and interpersonal skills that, over the long term, promote healthy living.

Our main programs:

Community-based Mentoring
3-4h / 2 weeks
Twinning: young people from 6 to 15 years old
Perspective of a long-term commitment

The Big Brothers Big Sisters community-based mentoring program, also known as the Traditional Mentoring program, provides a mentor to boys, girls, and teenagers aged 6 to 15. The mentor acts as a role model to talk to and share the experience of growing up with. Through regular outings, a strong relationship built on trust and common interests is developed between the mentor and the mentee.

Throughout the relationship, both mentor and child are supported by experienced Mentoring Coordinators. The experience allows both mentor and child to experience a relationship that will likely change both their lives.
