Mission

The Federation of Quebec Women (FFQ) is an independent feminist organization that works, in solidarity and in alliance with other groups, to transform the social relations of sex in all human activities in order to promote the development of full autonomy women and genuine recognition of all their contributions to society.

Description

Thus, its main objectives are to promote and defend the interests and rights of women and to fight against all forms of violence, discrimination, marginalization or exclusion towards women. It aims to achieve equality between women and men in all sectors of society and works to implement conditions that facilitate the achievement of this goal in a pluralistic perspective, ie means to integrate women in all their diversity of experiences, belonging or origins.

The FFQ is a crossroads that is intended to represent the pluralism of Québec society and the diversity of the women's movement, particularly women living in poverty or who are exposed to discrimination based on, among other things, their color, their ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion or lifestyle.

In the women's movement, she assumes collective leadership to respond to the societal challenges facing women.

Internationally, it is concerned, within the framework of its action and the means at its disposal, to develop links of solidarity with other groups of women around the world.

The FFQ is a non-partisan organization of education and political action that plays a role of criticism, pressure, consultation and mobilization.
