The Montrose Community Hub was set up to improve the quality of life of older people living in home. This is for us to: fight loneliness, encourage autonomy, encourage social participation, organize services and develop volunteering.


  • Daily calls to exchange, fraternize and secure.
  • Transport and accompaniment: to go to the doctor, pass exams or for any other health service.
  • Various accompaniments to make yourself your groceries, your banking transactions and other purchases.
  • Intergenerational activities: to increase the link between the generations, we perform thematic representations in schools. There is thus transmission and appreciation of your life experiences and social values ​​to young people.
  • Collective Kitchens: Volunteers cook while sponsoring seniors at home.
  • Community celebrations, conferences and seminars to meet, have fun, learn and discover.
  • Service of a community worker (Anne Marie Gauthier 514 885-6757)
  • Service of reference, accompaniment and help to answer a problematic municipal, governmental, defense of your rights, retirement income of housing and others.
  • Prevention, accompaniment and pathway service to solve a problem of abuse. The work is carried out in respect, confidentiality with help to our elder abused by including the person who disrespects our elder. This way of working allows a smooth settlement on both sides

All these services are free. On the other hand, a voluntary contribution is requested for transportation or accompaniment.

Criteria for admission : 60 years of age and over and live in the Rosemont neighborhood.

People 60 years old and over.

Founded in 1985, the Montrose Community Hub has been active in the neighborhood since 1987. We do more than 10,000 volunteer hours annually.
