Atelier 850 has a global mission to reduce the effects of poverty on children in Little Burgundy and around Montreal, offering activities of educational, artistic, cultural, recreational and social in a supervised environment. All in : -Breaking isolation and promoting the integration of visible minority youth into the Quebec community through these same activities. -Participant in the education of young people by offering a homework help service. - Striving for food security by providing healthy meals and snacks. -Contributing to the development of the self-esteem of these children by allowing them to demonstrate their achievements and achievements. -Stimulating community involvement.


Our programming

Extracurricular: From September to June, children from 6 to 12 years old in Little Burgundy have access to the after-school program or a homework help service is offered, in addition to a host of activities promoting healthy lifestyle (sport and healthy eating) as well as art and culture.

Winter Camp : During Spring Break, a country trip is offered to program participants. Leaving the city and the family environment, young people enjoy a real holiday and engage in winter activities that they would otherwise not have access to.

Summer Camp : The 6-week camp offers arts-based programming (dance, visual arts, theater, music). There are integrated cooking and sports workshops.

An internship program is offered to a dozen volunteer teenagers aged 13 to 15, who then have the opportunity to gain experience as a facilitator.

Bloc-Net: From September to June, this program allows young people between the ages of 13 and 17 to do cleaning chores in the neighborhood, in return for symbolic financial rewards. This program promotes the environment, citizen involvement and a healthy neighborhood.
