Just a few more days before … income taxes

Montreal, April 26, 2016—Income tax clinics exist in the Greater Montreal Area whose mandate is to help people prepare their income tax returns. The Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montreal (ICRGM) is capable of providing citizens with references to these community resources, by phoning 514 527-1375. “It is possible to give you the community group’s coordinates by their criteria and localization” indicated Mrs. Pierrette Gagné, Executive Director of the Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montreal.

The Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montreal (ICRGM) wishes to remind citizens that there isn’t much time left before the cut-off date to file their income tax returns to the Government of Quebec and Canada. Citizens have until April 2 at midnight to send in their documents to Revenu Quebec and Canada Revenue Agency. This date is exceptional this year, since the filing deadline is usually April 30, but this date falls on a Saturday in 2016.

Even if people cannot pay the full amount of their balance due by April 30, it is necessary to file the return no later than the deadline to avoid a penalty.
